Wall of Honor
Please remember Lieutenant Nathan Poloski, and keep his family in your prayers. Lieutenant Poloski was killed in September 2014, during the Carl Vinson’s deployment in support of Operation Inherent Resolve (bombing ISIS). During air combat training en route (near Wake Island), Lieutenant Poloski’s F-18 collided with the belly of another F-18. While the other pilot ejected safely, only Lieutenant Poloski’s damaged flight helmet was recovered. After 3 days of intensive search, the Navy declared him lost at sea. Nathan, a native southern Californian and 2009 graduate of the Naval Academy was 26 years old. May we never forget his sacrifice.
